The Board of the EAAE invites bids to organise the

EAAE 50th Anniversary Congress in 2025

The congress will be the follow up to congresses in Ljubljana (2014), Parma (2017), Prague (2021), and Rennes (2023)  and should be organised in more or less the same format, including length  and  time of year. Ideas to feature the history and development of the EAAE to celebrate the 50th anniversary after its foundation at the Congress in Uppsala are welcome. Innovative ideas for the administration of the Congress are welcome and are taken into account in the bidding process.

The Board organises the congress as a division of work between a Local Organising Committee (that we would like to establish with this bid), the Program Committee and the Board of the EAAE itself. A formal contract will be concluded between the Board of the EAAE and the successful bidder spelling out the respective obligations and responsibilities, below.

All proposals will be evaluated in terms of :

  • Overall costs to participants (40%)
  • Expertise and involvement of the Local Organising Committee (20%
  • Attractiveness of the region/location, of the congress site and the social program (20%)
  • Sustainability issues (20%)

More details about the bidding process, the criteria for evaluation and a template for the budget are found on the EAAE website biddingcriteria2025 and budgettemplate2025

Submissions consisting of a Congress bid book and the associated completed budget template should be sent to the Secretary-General of the Association by post or email by February 17, 2023. A decision will be taken by June 30, 2023 and will be announced at the Congress in Rennes.
