Scholar/Reading Circles
The EAAE is committed to boost interdisciplinary exchanges, stipulate continuous learning
processes, and facilitate sharing knowledge for its members as well as to connect early career and
senior members to build strong scientific networks. Thus, the EAAE’s Early Career Researchers (EAAE-ECR)
committee decided to create Scholar/Reading Circles where members can meet regularly to keep up
with literature or learn new methods and skills. The aim of these Scholar/Reading groups is to create a
community of knowledge exchange that spreads across nations, generations and sub-disciplines of
agricultural economics.
The EAAE-ECR is starting a pilot Scholar/Reading Circle on the topic of Resilience in Agriculture and Agrofood chains. This circle will be led
by Professor Donato Romano , who recently gave a
EAAE webinar on the
topic, with the help of Antje Risius and Diogo Souza Monteiro. We aim to recruit up to 12 members from
different career stages and countries. The first meeting will be held after Easter and in each meeting we
will read and discuss seminal articles/book chapters on the topic.
If you are interested to join the first Scholar/Reading Circle, please fill this FORM by April 11th. Looking
forward to hear from you.
