VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Editor of the European Review of Agricultural Economics (ERAE) Starting september 2026
The European Agricultural and Applied Economics Publications Foundation, (EAAEP Foundation), is seeking to appoint a new Editor for the European Review of Agricultural Economics for the period beginning September 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter). The new appointment is to replace Tim Richards who will step down end of August. Candidates should have a strong research record in the discipline and proven reviewing expertise. Experience as a member of the Editorial Board of a scientific journal is an advantage. A stimulating vision regarding the position and development of the ERAE should accompany these scholarly requirements. The ability to work in a team and to manage deadlines effectively is also required. We encourage applicants from all fields of inquiry, and will seek to maintain a balance in coverage across topic-areas of interest to all EAAE members. More details about the duties of an ERAE editor are found in the attached document.
Applicants are requested to send their application by e-mail before June 1, 2026, to:
The Secretary-Treasurer EAAEP Foundation, Alfons Oude Lansink, alfons.oudelansink@wur.nl
The application must consist of:
- A letter of motivation (including the applicant’s vision for the ERAE)
- A CV with specific emphasis on the qualifications required for an Editor of the ERAE
Applications will be considered by the current Editors in consultation with the Editorial Board, by Board members of the EAAEP Foundation and by OUP. Potential applicants who would like more information before applying are encouraged to contact one of the current ERAE editors.
